Colliding Rivers Viewpoint Reopens After Hazard Tree Removal
Last week, the Colliding Rivers Viewpoint in Glide was temporarily closed for the removal of a hazard tree. This operation has been successfully completed. The successful removal of the hazard tree was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the recreation staff from U.S. Forest Service Umpqua National Forest, tree climbers from Dorena Genetic Resource Center, and a volunteer group known as the Motley Crew. Their joint effort ensured the safety of the parking area at the viewpoint. The viewpoint has since reopened for public access. Photos courtesy of U.S. Forest Service - Umpqua National Forest
