Glide Community Rallies to Support Kelden Ainslie with Fundraising Day

Glide Community Rallies to Support Kelden Ainslie with Fundraising Day

This Friday, the Glide community is coming together to support Kelden Ainslie and his family through various fundraising events, as they face challenges and medical expenses following a devastating car accident caused by an impaired driver. The following is from a post from North Umpqua Bible Fellowship about the events and more backstory about what Kelden Ainslie and his family are going through. "This past October, Kelden Ainslie, a 2023 graduate of Glide High School, was hit head-on by an impaired driver. He had to be revived at the scene and life-flighted. After multiple life-saving brain surgeries and other operations, he still has a long road to recovery. In February he started becoming aware of what was going on, and has started to make more improvements since then. Kelden and his dad are currently in Colorado for Kelden's treatment/therapy, but expected to be back in early April after he has a custom wheelchair that meets his specific needs. There will be a lot of continued treatments and rehab when they return. As you can imagine, they have accumulated some hefty medical bills. It is our hope to ease some of the burden for this family by drawing people into our community for a day of fun, fundraiser events. In an effort to raise as much money as we can for the Ainslie family, many people have stepped up to the plate to help put on fundraisers. The fundraisers are all on the same day, making it more worthwhile for those with a bit longer of a drive. Know somebody that would enjoy the events or the opportunity to help the family? Share it with them. Have some spare time that day and want someone to put you to work? Let us know. Have a dessert you want to make for a silent auction, or a raffle basket you could put together easily? Message us. (INFO@NUBF.ORG or (541) 496-0764 of via FB page https://www.facebook.com/NUBF_Glide) You can find fliers for each event in the comments of the original post. By going to our page you can find additional information for each event." Via North Umpqua Bible Fellowship
